Once again, good story! Again, watch the description, and I would hesitate to say he was straight up excited, perhaps he was shaking with excitement? Showing vs. Telling. I do enjoy the concept of this story. Parents don't always agree with our dreams, and in the end, it comes down to just how dedicated you are. The dialogue seemed a bit stiff, but don't worry too much about that, it is just something that takes practice. I still hate writing dialogue. Overall, a great story!
R.K. Iris chapter 1 . 3/26/2013
This is like something out of a page in my life, except the conversation's with my mum about my writing...but not to this extent. This is pretty heavy stuff, according to me, 'cause there are a few people in this world where both parents care and are committed to their child's passion. It's kinda sad, actually. For a few more people, the people whom they care about are just apathetic, and some people forbid it outright.
This is really well written, and I enjoyed reading this a lot.
