This is a bit like stating the obvious, or telling as opposed to showing. I mean, by default, there should be an explanation if one keeps reading.
Dialogue tags usually weaken the dialogue. It's best to use 'said' in most cases.
Why are the kids bickering loudly in class without the teacher reprimanding them? The whole prologue feels a bit like filler. Nothing happens, just kids goofing around and acting silly. There's no real character development either. Remember to show, don't tell.
