| D. M. Robb chapter 1 . 7/2/2013
You did a great job of getting into the lion's mind and describing his experiences. I was hoping that he'd find a way to escape but the way you ended it is much more realistic.
| CRAZEDbySUGAR chapter 1 . 6/16/2013
oh I remember this! :D
The last sentence still gets to me...it is true and it always sounds...haunting to me...
The poor lion :T *sighs* now I'm remembering an article about the inter who was killed by a lion for being in the cage and the lion was later killed...
| MysteriousFire chapter 1 . 5/12/2013
Aw the ending is so sad!
I really like this story! While reading I forgot that you had written it, or just that it was written. While reading I just was the lion! :D
I felt sorry for him in the beginning. He didn't want to kill, but he had to because he was hungry. And then came the humans. He hates humans as much as me XD "For a species that does not consider themselves beasts, humans sure are cruel.", I'm gonna save that quote!
But when he escaped he didn't want to hurt anyone. If lions could talk this wouldn't have happened!
I could imagine the man cleaning the cage to be very frightened, if a lion watches your every move...
Oh and I love Nisa's name!
| DarknessesDownfall chapter 1 . 5/10/2013
I really liked it but one thing.
Lions are fierce creatures and I think the imagery and hearing the dialogue would have been better if you used "Growled" and "scoughed" and other words that make him sounds cruel and rugid instead of "said" and such. Also lions are "prides" meaning 1 male and many females. They don't get along with other males and often split the pride once the coming of age. Usually the father is killed...but normal people don't know those things. I thought since writing a paper on it, knowledge about the topic...
Sorry if that seems a bit..uh..yeah. I liked it...*awkward crawls into a hole*
