This is possibly the weirdest thing I've ever had the pleasure of reading. Odd. Brilliant, though, just brilliant. The beginning seemed broken, since I was unused to the style at the time, but ending unraveled a lovely mystery and I felt fulfilled.
Things of note: Chapter 2- the Unhappiness Factor- caught that one! :) I really loved your incorporation of the Tempest and Kaspar's comparison to Ariel. Using the library of Alexandria as a sort of mind maze was also brilliant. Reality and fiction were so interwoven that I felt no compassion for any of the characters (except for maybe Kaspar)... but I felt such a connection to the story itself. Fiction became an almost futuristic reality.
