I totally liked this one! It was so interesting, trying to find out why he wanted to kill him, figuring out the setting and the characters.

As for the style, it's really cool! Very dialogue focused, which creates such a different effect. I think I especially liked this style for this story. It worked perfectly, which I guess is why you told it this way. I really loved their banter, and how witty they both were. Truly enjoyable!

I was squee'ing with joy at this one, my fiance just turned to me and rolled his eyes. Gahhh, I loved the whole "get him drunk" and "drunk sexy talk" way of doing things. No better! It's so real. I really loved the writing style in this one too. Can't wait to read more. :)

First part: Wh-what was that omggg did he die? LOL, holy shit I was like "is this happening? what's happening!" aaahh, poor guy though, walking home in the dark like that.

Then this whole scene tied everything together beautifully. I really want to know about this winged man! He is so funny - look what I got! You're so good at these little short stories. UGH. I love them all!

So, my impressions: at first, I thought you were going for a "Candon the Vampire seems evil, but he has Reasons" kind of thing, but now I'm thinking it's more of a "Candon the Vampire is evil and deserves to be set on fire" kind of a thing. I lovehate Candon's super great teaching skillz: Step 1, make baby vampire so hungry he can't help but drink his own blood. Step 2, punish him for doing exactly that. (Step 3, ? STEP 4, PR0F1TZZZ!) More prime moments of assholery include the lines "It doesn't count if you're trying to get out of something," "Tell me you're good! ...You'd just be lying anyway, wouldn't you!" and "You always get it way too easy!"

Like, there is only one way for your MC to get out of his jail cell, and that is to completely deny his own personhood/agency, and that's what I find really compelling about the fix that he's in.

But I love that, I love how I can picture Candon as this fully-formed Classic A-hole in my head, and I just can't wait to see where you're going with this. Will you be redeeming him? Will some gorgeous vampman come slay Cancans and rescue your boy? Will your MC behave badly on purpose in order to get the poker again, and then try to kill himself with it and/or use it as a weapon against Cancans? (Yes, all semes get cute nicknames, even the evil ones. That is how I roll.)

By the way, I think you're tapping into something really primal here, with "being good" and "being bad" and "punishment." I wonder if it's that, and not the bloody bits (I'm super sensitive to bloody bits and I wasn't fazed at all by this) that is making you see this story as being so dark. Because that's what separates this from typical stories about couples with a power imbalance that are also sometimes kind of noncon. And it is his insistence that the main character be "good" that makes me love to hate Candon. I feel like a big sweeping conclusion is just on the tip of my tongue here but I just can't quite put it together. Anyway, if you want to know what I think you should work on next-my vote is on Blood III, K? :D -Jeshka

While I'm hoping for a full-length story out of this plot (it's really interesting, to say the least), I'll be waiting eagerly for the next chapter.

That ending was a lot more fluffy than I expected but it still worked very well. I'm glad I got to see these two again.
