![]() ![]() Thanks for this story! :) |
![]() ![]() ![]() Brought tears to my eyes. Saying good bye is always hard, whether there's warning or not... |
![]() ![]() ![]() You're good with words, the way you condense so much emotion into a short story that makes me wanna cry reading it. Thumbs up for you!:') This also kinda reminded me of what my friend told me, her bf's uncle died recently in a traffic accident, and all 3 of the young cousins claimed that their father had came back to play with them one night when their mother asked. Very bittersweet, and similarly haunting. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Keeping in the tradition of Brown Eyes, xoxlurrve delivers an absolutely beautiful and powerful one shot in under one thousand words. "Never Enough" will leave readers wanting more and thinking about what life really means. We should enjoy life and never let go of those who are no longer with us. She also proves that it is okay to feel sad when you lose someone. Even though someone is gone, you can still love them. Xoxlurrve piles so many emotions into such a few words. The reader gets a feeling of the daughter's and the father's sadness. Not only that, but I also felt sadness on the mother's end. Pulling off such an emotion as sadness is something that very few authors can do. Doing it in under one thousand words is nearly impossible. If this story doesn't make you cry, then there is something wrong with you. I also liked how it was the child who served as the connection between the mother and the father. It truly demonstrates the power of childhood and of dreaming. This story contains no typos or any other issues that I saw. |
![]() ![]() ![]() This was so beautiful, I loved it (: |
![]() ![]() ![]() First and for most, wow! I loved it and the details through out the story are just brilliant. It was well written and heart felt. The only problem I see is having this story in "general," but there's not really a category with for it. |
![]() ![]() ![]() It catches you off guard, how beautiful and so powerful this is...too real and understandable in some points for comfort, which it offers in the desolation, all the same. We love you too. |
![]() ![]() Hi.. I love how you wrote the sadness of the papa. |
![]() ![]() That was a lovely Author's note you had for this story. I wanted you to know that. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Hello, This is my first time reviewing here though I have always been reading your stories...I have to say this story really struck me in the pain and grief you go through when you have just lost someone dear to you. I really love how you use the daughter to connect the dad and the mum and the entire story together. Really love this piece of yours. Everything you write is amazing. Please continue writing! :)) |
![]() ![]() ![]() Beautiful! |
![]() ![]() Beautiful. |
![]() ![]() I just wanted to thank you for that story. I used to be a star student in America, but then we moved to Hong Kong. I didn't know any Chinese at all, and I got the lowest grade in the class even when I attended tutoring classes. I became bulimic and cut myself because I hated myself for not getting good grades anymore. I thought that my parents didn't love me anymore. Luckily for me, my friends found out, and they helped me recover. I pushed them away at first, but they kept trying, and finally got through to me. I know now that I was extremely fortunate to have such amazing friends who love me so much. I hope other people will be inspired by this, and realize the amount of love we all deserve. Thanks again for writing this story. Ally "We accept the love we think we deserve." -The Perks of Being A Wallflower |
