two words: favorite chapter.

This book is a cuddle during a rainstorm. I would carve a million intricate barn swallows just to be able to hold this story physically. [You ought to publish this when you're done writing!] You write so well and the emotions you put out are so pure, intense and unabashed. Fuck, you don't know how many times I took a break just to let my emotions sink in. All the characters are realistic and so in-depth. I feel like I know them personally. John is so patient and restrained. Will he ever lose control of his feelings for Sloane? Also, the tension between John and Sloane almost makes me cry. It's so frustrating how both of them are bound by societal standards(I guess there are laws about minors too?) and other responsibilities that prevents them to love openly. I wonder what'll happen on Sloane's 18th birthday. Spring's coming soon, right? Update soon!

Great tension build up. Their relationship seems so natural and easy on the one hand, yet this intimacy and sexual energy is still taboo, from a social perspective (frowned upon for a step-uncle/guardian to hook up with his charge), legal perspective (age of consent issues), and perhaps personal moral perspective (John feels a duty to Gracie to watch her children in a paternal way, and his feelings for Sloane threaten his ability to carry out that duty).

I am completely in love with this story. It's been so long since I've read anything on this website and when I felt like reading the other morning, just jumped on here and clicked the first thing that sounded good.
This story is incredible! You write so well and I love the characters and I love every little event you've written thus far. It all flows so nicely and it's a really entertaining read. I've heard of writers being approached here to turn their stories into e-books or actual books and I sincerely hope this happens to you, because I would love to have this story to read over and over!

First off, i love Bon Iver and its the perfect music for this chapter with the rain and tension, that you could practically feel, between John and Sloane. Loved this chapter. It was absolutely great!
