![]() ![]() ![]() I only started reading this earlier today, and now it's 2am an I have to wake up at 8am for work but I just had to finish it. Your character development is amazing, and I love the characters and the writing and just agudisfhuojia, I have no words. Please, please update soon! I try not to start reading unfinished stories because I'm too impatient, but I got hooked on this. Please update soon! |
![]() ![]() Here's the thing I'm re-reading chapters in desperation. You need to update so I feel less like a crazy person ;) |
![]() ![]() ![]() A drop of Romeo brought me here. And for that I am so grateful! Your story is amazing. I adore the kids, and Sloane is such a strong, yet sometimes irritating protagonist. She's so real, and that's the kind of character I like reading about. And John... Even if Sloane won't say it, I will - I'm a little bit in love! I really hope you keep updating! Thank's for posting on fictionpress for all to see and love! |
![]() ![]() this is great! love the characters! please update again soon! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Oh finally! I've been waiting for this moment lol. Great way to end the chapter :) I really hope you'll update soon! Your story is the one I look forward to the most. |
![]() ![]() ![]() [I totally forgot to review for this story.] Ah... a little light shed on John's past. And the jealousy, OH THE JEALOUSY! Glad Sloan is more self away of her... domineering ways. And John is feeling a bit too secure- I don't believe they're safe from Thomas. Excited for the next chapter. |
![]() ![]() ![]() LOVE this story. aah it's just like a good old fashioned read that gets you feeling all warm and fuzzy despite the hardships in it. Love all the characters and Sloane is such a universally relatable and likeable character I love it. She almost reminds me of Jane Eyre in a way. One thing I will say is the setting of this book jars me enough to take me out of the comfort of the book a bit. As you read, the impression that's given, and to me I love that, is that it's a little old fashioned, and set a bit in the past. The time doesn't need to be clarified, but that's the impression and feeling I get. Then there's random mentions of things like 'hogwarts' and high school parties that seem at odds with the rest of it. I'm not sure if I'm making sense, but yeah. Loving it and I can't wait for the next chapter :) |
![]() ![]() ![]() Why do I suspect that Thomas will make a reappearance sometime in the future in this story? Thanks for the long chapter... complete with all of the angst. I look forward to reading more. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Brilliant! I adored every moment of this chapter! You've built so much palpable tension into it- it's incredible! Really enjoyed seeing jealousy get the better of them, a jealous John is definitely the more hilarious of the two! The tender moment at the end and the fact that they both don't have a clue how to let their feelings out but are so unable to keep it all together and inside is so well crafted! Just beautiful tension all around! Can't wait for the next chapter! |
![]() ![]() ![]() I have read this chapter too many times to count. These two are killing me...like driving me nuts! Love this story! |
![]() ![]() ![]() I just caught up on your whole story, it's really great, enjoying it a lot. Looking forward to next chapter. :) |
![]() ![]() ![]() Mmmm, perfect. Like an incredible roller-coaster of tension. I've had a feeling that Matty has a bit of a crush on Nina for awhile. Maybe Sloane can help a brother out. Do you have any idea of how many chapters this will be once it's completed? I want to know how much more I've got left. If this were a printed novel I would have already read the last few lines, because I'm incredibly impatient. You're lovely! AngelaMae |
![]() ![]() ![]() This chapter was great. It was packed full of emotions and character development. John's confession is pretty heartbreaking. I had pretty much worked out the thing with his father, but maybe now Sloane can give him a little break now that she knows. I hope that Thomas never makes an appearance in this story, though, because he's a disgusting human being. And I think jealousy is such an interesting thing to explore with characters and I find if it's done well, it's a good way to force a lot of emotional content. Hopefully this will act as a catalyst for John and Sloane so they can begin to realize they have feelings for one another. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I'm really impressed with this chapter because the dynamic of Sloane and John's relationship is very unique. Somehow there has to be that transition from what is decorous to what is actually there, and I feel like this chapter was a big step in the transition. I can't wait to read more! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Though not a fan of romance, I am enjoying this story immensely: the plot lines, the excellent development of major characters and—I miss this in so many stories—the struggle against circumstances and the occasional villain by intelligent, well-meaning, resourceful people. You don't rely upon idiocy for conflict or tension. Running across this story only recently, I had the luxury of reading through to this point at my own pace. |
