This is obviously a sadomasochistic relationship on an emotional aspect kind. This is exactly what women are like in abusive relationships. No matter how she was emotionally abused she still went back again and again in hopes that he will change, and with the slightest inclination and promise that he will or that he reciprocates her feelings, she throws all respect for herself as a human who deserves to have the best and literally jumps on him, no matter how half assed his attempts were. And she obviously does not love and respect herself the way she should by indirectly begging him to take her when he clearly does not deserve her. And please, we have all heard the it is not me, it is you excuse again and again, and the I am bad for you excuse that selfish people use to keep people hanging and preventing them from having the closure they deserve and from moving on by using such a vague answer. More than love, I think it is more appropriate to call his feelings for her as lust, as many abusers feel the same way about the partners they hurt but can never let go of. She deserves someone who will man up for her, go for her, truly love her(cause if he did then at the very moment they had sex he should not have went out and acted completely normal with his gf of 10 months like nothing was wrong the very next day, gosh could you imagine what it would be like to be on the shoes of his ex? With him going with you to the cafe, kissing your forehead like everything was effin peachy when the night before he was screwing another girls brains out? Sure he broke up with her but isnt it a little too late for that? He cant blame it on the fact that she left him the next morning, I mean dude she was on drugs, she obviously would be very confused the next day and go. His actions did not make it seem any less of a mortifying experience, he could have went to her to at least see if she was okay or apologize instead of to his gf who he had just cheated, emphasis on the JUST last night, acting all normal. This and more scenes show how much he did not really love her like he says he does and I just cant elaborate otherwise I will be needing 10 pages), he should have chosen her, and actually done something about it. Not be someone who will try for awhile but give up on her the moment he does not get the response he wants(as you have seen on the scene where he went to her house when one he wasnt even over yet with his gf, the douche, and he expects her to fall at his feet? And two the moment things didnt go the way he wanted it to he left like he always does. Put a little effort and then run when things dont go to his favor). To be completely honest, he has used and abused her many times and for years at that, that his words do not even count for much, it is his actions that would but he never really did anything. I mean let us admit, if the girl didnt have the balls to constantly win him over and beg for him to return her affections, he would still be moping in his dark corner blaming the world for not being deserving of her when really, when you want something you would find many ways to go after it and be deserving, prove that you are, but when you dont, whether consciously or not, then you would find many reasons, more like excuses, not to and he certainly was too much of a coward to act on it so he plants himself in his own misery. How selfish really. Like dude you already fucked her over knowing how she feels, you would have to be an idiot not to, how could you even think for one second possibly think that you should just walk away to save herself from the big bad you when really you could have man up and start being responsible for what you did and what you started. People like him are the ones who go back their addictions cause theyre too weak to make a change themselves. I really pity the female lead, not once did he give her any effort and couldnt man up till the very end and she had to take the role of being the person who had the balls to always serve his options in a golden platter. This story really reminds me of abusive relationships, it is just so twisted but in truth this does happen in reality. It is a sad fact. She really should give more credit to herself and he really needs to man up and take initiative, seeing as he was the one who screwed up all these years, and make it up to her, give her what she deserves and how she deserves to be treated or just sit his pitiful ass down and let her see someone else who can.

My review is long overdue. I've reread this hot story countless times. It's always just as sexy as the first time I read it. The way you described the attraction between them is amazing! I think it's a combination of the words you chose and writing it in the present tense. So intense and sexy! You gave her a believable reason for letting go of her inhibitions and giving into her attraction to him. The fact that she's known him for a long time and is in love with him adds to the intense connection between them. The drama and history between them makes it more interesting and exciting than a casual hook up. Drugs are dangerous, but damn it adds a seductive, hypnotic element to this story. I love how you imply that the addiction to the guy and the high from his touch are like a drug. Your descriptions are so vivid and powerful. You did an amazing job on this, and you deserve a lot more reviews.

I didn't like how you played with my emotions. I don't like it one bit. It's not cute and I was starting to get desperate when Mitch and Jen were in front of her house in his car before they found the glow stick necklace thing. It freaking sucks having to panic and think "this is the end". I'm so glad they ended up together. I'm looking forward to that one shot you mentioned in the author's note.

I completely forgot that this wasn't a one shot and my heart skipped a beat when I saw "author's note" at the bottom of my screen and Mitch still hadn't won over Jen yet. But it's all good because this isn't the end.

The plot twist is what we needed. Mitch needed a girlfriend and I'm so glad Jen didn't pull away because she does not seem like the type to stand up for herself.

That was hot. Beyond hot. I really liked how Jen was high in this chapter and Mitch wasn't even though Mitch seems like the one that would be more likely to get high. Hopefully they can get high together in one of the future chapters.

Well that went well didn't it? WOW-BRILLIANT WRITING but I don't EXPECT anything less from you! I am with you about saying no to drugs and I rarely drink since I have had my sons! I didn't realize that MDMA was a real drug and I hadn't heard of it-thanks for bringing it to my attention. I am always on my oldest son even tho he is 13 I know he has friends and kids at school that drinks and drugs now and I do my best to teach him that he is strong enough to stand up to peer pressure-Thanks for pointing these things out to me!

When he says, "You didn't want me to be with me six years ago."... Do you mean "You didn't want to be with me six years ago." ? I think you may have added an extra 'me' hehe.
When it was nearing the end and Mitch started going all 'selfless', saying he was going to let her go... Oh wow, it was killing me. They are just so perfect for each other.
You integrated the sexy moments and the talking that NEEDED to happen between them, perfectly. Oh and the kissing and stuff... Why does your writing convey passion and chemistry so well? Teach me hahaha.
