I like Liam. Idk why Simon doesn't trust him... but my judgement of humans in books have been questionable as of lately. Anyway, Liam. I'm glad he offered to cuddle with Danya. I would have taken up the offer to. When the person you want isnt there for you, you seek comfort from other places. Who's Simon to date get angry when he is the one putting Danya in such a position? *shaking my head in disappointment* literally almost all important characters I've met by now are better than Simon. Hamish, Slone, Cailan, Liam...

Oh hun... I wish I could slap some sense into Simon.

All throughout the second half of this chapter, all I could think was, /Finally./ Poor Danya, I sometimes want to cry with how lonely he is. I empathize so much. Loneliness is one of the worst tortures there is. Cant Simon SEE any thing? Almost everyone else can see it EXCEPT Simon.
Oh, I also feel pretty bad about Wyke... like... wanna burst into tears at random moments bad.

Honestly, even tho I get why Danya wants, NEEDS Simon, I wonder how long he can put up with his shit. I mean, there is a limit to a man's ignorance and naivety, isnt it? And Hamish is soooooooo much better than Simon. And would probably gladly have Danya too.

This chapter is packed with interesting character stuff. Just perfect. I must say I'm sad about them having to leave the army, though. It would stress me out tremendously if I'd have to leave my job behind, just because someone else forces me to.
I love your writing style. The high leven dialogue really stands out. Masterfully done.
