:) Awesome update speed! No pressure to maintain it. *pressure* ;)

Up indeed. Can't wait to see how this complication unfolds.

Rose chapter 6 . 5/1/2015
Wow! I'm so glad and happy you updated this! I was wondering about this story and low and behold I saw the title in the updates section and I was ecstatic :) once again I'm blown away by your ability to story build, I could imagine and immerse myself very easily into her shoes...or feet. And when the reminiscence of her brother came up that punched me in the gut real harhardd. Going to save the next chapter for another day :)

Dude. It's been so long that I went back and read the story again. :P

I think you're doing well with building her personality. It was particularly interesting to read about how she reacted to the physician's mention of her bro.

Rose chapter 5 . 7/4/2014
Oh wow, that last part made me hold my breath for/with Alea :( I can only imagine the bitterness she must be feeling towards the beings on the surface that made her brother break his promise. I wonder if the song the maid was humming was somehow his song, but of course at the time he was on land he didn't have his voice, what with it being kept by that lonely sea witch. As always, can't wait to read what happens next :)
augie.toaste chapter 5 . 6/20/2014
A lot more fleshed out than the other chapters in this story so far. It makes your previous chapters feel more like arty/concept pieces. :)

Part of me kept waiting for Alea to stab someone.
Rose chapter 4 . 6/13/2014
Oh wow, this is interesting. It seems like Alea is bent on revenge but I wonder how far she will go and, if successful, how she might feel later. I have to admit whenever I hear a reference of her brother my heart goes out and gives a jump because of the cruelty of the way he was used. I'm sorry it's taken me a while to leave a review, been busy with school as well but I'm glad to see you're still continuing with the story.
augie.toaste chapter 4 . 5/1/2014
After reading some of your shorter pieces last night, and really liking them, I thought I'd give this a go. And I am definitely not disappointed! It's only Chapter 4, and already this story has taken so many interesting twists and turns - like no other little mermaid story that I have every read (well, I've read the original in that the mermaid turns into foam, but you've subverted it so brilliantly).

It's a great piece of anti-romance.

I am really interested to see where you take this.

Miss Sas chapter 1 . 4/28/2014
I love this chapter, wonderfully written!
Rose chapter 3 . 4/23/2014
Please update soon if you can :) I'd like to find out if the sea witch has actually developed a conscious and finally realized her actions and, if so, what she'd do about it if anything at all. I am also interested to see what the sister will do. The sister reminds me a lot of myself in many ways.
Rose chapter 3 . 3/24/2014
Please continue! I'm so glad youre writing more into this story; can't wait to read on what surprises you'll bring out.
Danny Barefoot chapter 1 . 3/13/2014
The Princess is very well characterised and cruel, a very sad story, it could even go on a bit longer, but like it very much.
Rose chapter 1 . 3/10/2014
Wow, this is so sad but so enticing that I could imagine everything; perhaps you could make a sequel where there was a servant girl who appreciated his pure heart? I'd really like to read more to this new twist you placed on the fairytale. It's so cruel to have someone knowingly take advantage of your sacrifice and not owe that sacrifice in return; maybe his sacrifice can be returned in a different way through the attentions and attentiveness of a bystander girl who's feelings have also been cast aside until it's important? After all isn't rejection a pathway towards a new beginning? Overall fascinating writing style.
