Great prequel! It was so refreshing to read about their relationship without their sexual encounters. It was just pure devotion. This explained a lot.

Ahhhhhhhh. Okay. So now I really want to see a slightly revised version of BLTN that reflects this decision of Gideon's. I want him to struggle with this from the very beginning. Ahhhhhhh.

So I'm having trouble reconciling this Gideon with the Gideon from BLTN. I haven't read it in awhile, but I don't really remember him ever referencing a time when he found himself interested in Nola in the past, even if he'd gotten over it in the intervening years. I feel like he's totally surprised by his feelings, similar to what happens here. I'm curious, is this something that spawned in your head later as part of Gideon's past? Are we supposed to read this is as a SLIGHT AU from BLTN so the (possible) small contradictions don't necessarily have to be reconciled, or are you planning on making a few (I think super subtle) revisions to BLTN? (This is all just me trying to remember from the last time I read the story probably a year ago, so if I'm off base, feel free to ignore me! I'm working on finishing up my Creative Writing Senior Thesis right now, so I'm more introspective than usual.)
