While Japan has changed for the better as a nation since then, it is quite unfortunate that they often refuse to acknowledge their past war crimes to this day.

So, I read all the chapters. Whenever I read this far I always review. Some of the stories are a little grim. Maybe not entirely appropriate for the humor section, but many of the chapters take a positive, lighthearted point of view of these terrible experiences. I like your style of prose. Your point of view - telling your father's stories - is pretty cool. It gives the reader a glimpse of the horror of war but at the same time distances us from it. Overall, well done, I'd say. Thanks for sharing.
