Oh man I'm so late at reviewing this but this chapter provided some great insight into Tamy's thought processes. I can so understand Ansel's dilemma. the interaction between the two was playful (hint hint? perhaps?) I was smiling the whole way! and oh gosh, Nik is back again! He is so determined. Can't wait to find out how that unravels. Actually I'm sort of looking for a full blast on argument/encounter between these two just so that they can get rid of the tension or something. I really, really want to know between Nik and Tamy and why they broke up. I don't remember the names of the two other girls in their fake-friends-group, but I remember they were annoying lol.

I'm pretty sure I forgot to review this chapter. I read it as soon as it went up and started typing up a review but well, got a little sidetracked. Now I'm here. I came back to read it all over again.

I love your writing. I think in this chapter you managed to capture daily life so well- I'm not sure quite what it is, but your writing makes their experiences very relatable, especially the awkwardness that Tamy feels. Because you've written her as such a well rounded character with faults as well as good points it makes it easier to empathise with her. I feel quite sorry for Tamy, it seems that she is a strong character but with all that's happening it must be wearing her down.

I feel really annoyed at the other friends though - they seem really biased and unwilling to see anything from her point of view. While I understand they want the best for Nik, they can't consider any of Nik's faults, and they don't know what happened before he left.

I really like the way you also haven't revealed all the secrets at once, leaving some ambiguity with what happened with Ansel, for example. Also, you don't have to answer this, but how many chapters will it be? I want to know how much I can look forward too.

This chapter was so long and yet it seem so short. I feel like I want more! I think it is cute how Nik tried to trick Tamy to come an hour early, but ended up only get a much shorter time period. But it was good, they needed to have a proper conversation. It was going to happen sooner or later. It is funny and so predictable of Ansel coming earlier to ruin the moment. I seriously do wonder if Ansel sees her more as a sister or as more than that. I would love a love triangle, but I think it'll be too painful for everyone. It is already hard enough that everyone thinks there is something going on between Ansel and Tamy, but if there really was, it would hurt a lot of people. Nik better fight for her . . . I can't wait to see more of the awkward Nik and Tamy interactions. I love seeing that memory of the two of them in the past, it was so sweet. This was when they were so young and innocent, now everything has changed. I can't wait until your next update. I love this so much!

Oh, I do think that Nik didn’t touch her accidentally when handing her the sandwich. This guy with his mixed, brooding signals (well, not so mixed now, but…haha, he’s complicated)!

Now, I’m curious about Lux and Tamy’s past too. I mean, at the departure scene, she did comfort Tamy after Nadine kept on hugging Nik.

Gosh, this never-ending gaze threatening to pull us in…the chapters where they’ll be alone will definitely be worth the wait, I believe.

Nik clearly hit the mark again. The group is trying to keep Tamy and him apart. And I think it really showed Nik’s maturity and ‘love’ for her when he said “It’s none of their business what happens between us.” He’s changed. But can a person ever truly change by a lot?

Haha, Ansel walking out of the group. He just does what he wants. He has this really cool presence of mind.

Gosh, that Lux is quite bratty and immature. And prejudiced too. And still, ranting about whatever Tamy did to Nik. She is really jealous about Tamy. It’s not just about Nik is it? I’m very intrigued to find out more.

I have to say something though. Being with Ansel certainly made Tamy have the lawyer way of arguing too! But I guess, it’s also sad…because at the end of the day, Lux and Tamy were once best friends. And now look at what has happened.

-A Little Bit of Reality

After hearing Tamy say that ‘Nik can push her buttons’ better than anyone else—even more than Ansel—I know we’ll be seeing tones more of drama. I really want to read about their interactions; they have this challenging chemistry, I think. I’m also very interested to find out how much Nik knows about her and whether he’d use them to his advantage. As he seems really determined to get what he wants and ‘getting back together with her’ may now be the first thing on his mind.

It’s intriguing because during the departure scene last time, I could feel that Tamy wasn’t too sure about him, too. Mainly because Nik had started acting ambivalent prior that. Also, four years has now passed, Nik has come back, he’s changed and there are obvious signals from him that he wants to get back together or he just wants her…even thinking about this is making me feel excited! Since exes usually getting together usually either means a stronger relationship or a bitterer ending, I’m longing to read which path these two will take…

Oh my gosh, I just goggled Palace Square Stuttgart and there are so many amazing pictures of it and the fountain…and there’s one at night-time. It’s really great and amazing! And that flashback scene of her and Nik (how incredibly romantic! XD! Woah XD) Hahaha, now I wish I can stroll through that area at night and take pictures. Man…wow, the palace is humungous and so beautiful and old. What’s that structure? Where the palace seems…bent? (pardon me if it’s wrong). And oh, I just saw a close-up picture of Concordia, the Goddess. Any history behind that? Oh, it is indeed way taller than the palace. How it must feel to look at it when you’re just walking and looking at it from down below. Huh.

I really love the way you described everything. Haha, you can see my enthusiasm—googling the pictures and reading the descriptions side-by-side! Oh, so it’s more of a column, I see? And atop is Concordia? Oh, Nik definitely forgot about the bank holidays, alright. Haha, now I’m very interested. What do you guys do during bank holidays? Can tourists go inside the Palace? Or just a few sections are open to public? Eh…next time if I go to Germany, Stuttgart is a must destination XD

I also got to visualize the entire scenario at the park square because of your description—you know, people just hanging around and sitting and having a relaxing time. It creates a really atmospheric scene. It almost feels a bit strange in a way, mainly because when the group is going to come together, they’d be isolated from the world and caught up in their own drama. It’s like they’d be alone despite being in a crowd (Okay this is just me thinking some things…which I’m sure are sorta irrelevant. Sorry).

Ooh, love the way you described Nik’s windswept long hair and his long jean-clad legs, tapping nervously. I’m glad he’s nervous and impatient. It definitely makes up for the departure scene that long time ago. Nik’s also talking softly now…gosh, he’s really interested, isn’t he? He is just trying hard…I love characters that make me wonder because I feel they are very mysterious and hard to figure out! As a reader, nothing is better than that.

Haha, Ansel is never late! Lovin’ his punctuality XD. (Now I want to start watching Suits too…)
That conversation between her and Nik was really eye-opening. The whole thing about people asking ‘About your career plans’ is so true! In a way, Nik and Tamy do know each other well. Plus, they are on the same road and they understand each other. (At least involving the job part; Ansel seems like someone who’s very much into career right now. I mean, he is just sure about what he wants; Nik and Tamy not so much. In that regards, they do have a connection…)

“So,” he began challengingly “You believe that people should fight for what they love?”
The double meanings are highlighted so well. And the little smile afterwards. Nik is hopeful, confident (but not too much, I think) but he also seems very determined now. But is it too late? I guess we’ll find out. And the line “You’re too young to be jaded…’ so true, so true.

That part was really interesting though. Gosh, something is bothering Nik a lot. With the whole dream job…he is so enigmatic and unwilling to share. I mean, everybody has a dream job. What happened when he went away? What happened to the last four years when he was over there? I’m more and more curious now. “And the heaviness in the air that made me feel like I said something wrong.” Despite everything, Nik too has his own problems and barriers too, I feel.

Oh, that information about Computer Science and engineering was something new. I didn’t know it at all, haha, I’ll randomly ask someone the difference today. Oh, I loved the way you described Nik’s smile afterwards and the fact he looks so ‘boyishly’ happy. Tamy is trying her best to make sure her barriers won’t fall down. But for how long? Ah, the anticipation…when will they both open up to each other and perhaps make everything right?

Oh Nik, the whole wrong time factor and then telling Tamy that he wants to spend time with her …you go, man! Haha XD Finally, after four years, you’re coming to your senses, perhaps. And then Ansel comes…

The antagonism between Nik and Ansel stood out there by a great deal. But Nik did start it with that sarcastic comment; I think he felt really jealous. I wonder why is he so bent on believing that something is going on between Ansel and Tamy? It’s almost like he’s so cold towards their friendship…he didn’t want Tamy and now he doesn’t want anyone else for her?

Regarding the break-up, I mean the actual break-up where it became finalized, I wonder about that too. I’m pretty positive Nik’s the one who broke it off…but by that time, I can’t help wonder whether Tamy’s feelings for him were also cooled down? Hmm…but to be replaced by anger perhaps and the immense pain for the loss of their friends?

Ah, great deal to think about indeed!

Oh, Ansel’s lawyer smile! He did land it straight onto Nik, didn’t he, when he said he and Tamy would talk somewhere more private! I still can’t fully tell whether they like each other as more than friends. Probably not, but I do feel there’s a potential for something more to happen. But they are great friends and I am happy to see Ansel looking out for her. He’s serious but there’s a side to him. A light-hearted side which he only shows when he’s around her. He seems amused by her. She makes him smile, I don’t kknow…

And that line by him saying he’d punch Nik after getting home…it was actually real sweet and supportive. Hahaha, Tamy sure felt awkward after giving him that impulsive hug, lol, bumping straight into someone.

You know, it’s real interesting to hear Ansel tell Tamy to steer clear from Nik…I’m glad you’re not giving away the secrets all at once, but rather showing it bit by bit. Kudos to you!

And then Tamy and Wolf came. Nik does know what’s happening with the group (I believe) and it’s almost like he just chooses to imply it whenever he feels like it. Maybe to get a rise out of people? And then the argument between the three girls and then Nik’s half-smile…I do think Tamy got it right. He’s a perceptive guy.

Oh, at that fountain scene nearly five years ago, it was really romantic the way Nik serenaded her. He seemed so nervous and flustered at that time…poor guy. I can’t help feel sorry since Tamy seemed unsure at that time. And his grin could’ve lighted up the entire night—how happy he must have been! And that sentence “I’ll make you fall in love with me”—it’s so ironic and almost a curse or something.

What happened? That’s all I can think of now. What happened to make two people who seemed so into each other fall straight out of love? Out of each other’s lives and then have so much animosity between them? (You do know you don’t have to say anything…at all. I’m merely musing out loud.)
Okay I don’t want to sound mean, but Nadine is so into Nik, it’s making me laugh a bit at her. And then Lux choosing to seat between them…damn, all I can say. Woah, that was an interesting observation by Tamy. That Lux knows something about Nik that even Nadine doesn’t. How jealous and a bit petty Nadine seems to be…but then again, I still think there are reasons you are going to show why they are like that. Perhaps why Nadine likes Nik so much…

Haha, on the other hand, Ansel and Wolf were talking in a more mature way. The conversation between Ansel and Wolf was interesting. I think it showed two childhood friends catching up with each other and talking about ‘important things’ or ‘things that’s actually going in your life.’ Nadine and Lux: all they seem to be concerned about is Nik and how Tamy is the supposed villain who’s going to hurt him.

Oh, those lines were really philosophical! And pretty unique too. You know, the chameleon comparison (huh, alliteration!). And I definitely agree with all of it. I don’t think you could ever really label a person because everybody has so many sides. Some gets shown; others not. And there’ll always be some stuffs you’d never know about a person, even after years, because things change. Period.

You know, Ansel really gets Tamy, I think. He’s a great friend for her. I mean, he wonders about her and he asks it straight. Like why did she come? I think Tamy is actually torn about Nik. A lot. Maybe if we know more about everything, we can understand exactly why. I mean, she did care about Nik a great deal and then she was hurt. She doesn’t want to get back together with him (at least not now) but he’s definitely captured a part of her that’s unwilling to change. It’s complicated…but I guess that’s what makes this story great.

You know, there are random nights when I wonder, "Hmm, I wonder when dear-llama's going to update that story. Yeah, okay, why am I thinking of that in the middle of the night?" I guess what I'm trying to say is that this kinda wormed its way into my heart and when I saw the update, I absolutely squealed. Still trying to figure out the pieces but Nik and Tamy's interaction was adorable-in a totally tense and awkward way, if that's possible. I'm reserving my judgment on the rest of the gang, but I do feel bad for their persecution of Tamy.

Looking forward to the next chapter. :)

I am loving this! I wish we knew what Nik was going to stay at the start before Ansel arrived - Nik's a sneaky one isn't he tricking Tamy into coming early haha. I particularly liked the end of this chapter because it's the first time we really get to see Tamy and Lux together. I can't wait for the next chapter. No doubt Tamy is going to somehow end up near Nik again.
