This story is so good! The Prohibition era setting is really interesting. Charlie's such a bad ass character- I like how you show her both her strong-headed and feminine side. I also love how Matthew is so protective of her- they are perfect for each other!

Matthew is hilarious :D

While reading I was thinking 'Mathew and Charlie can't catch a break!' But Matthew's charmed (and manipulated) her into his home. I'm torn between whether I like Matthews disapproving of the things Charlie does. She's very wilful and adventurous (and stubborn) and I can see his controlling nature a focal point for fallouts.
In saying that, I'm glad there are aspects that I don't like (or rather like a lot less than others) because it gives the characters more life.

I really do love and enjoy this novel!

I really love how their relationship is progressing - how Matthew wants to protect her. It's obviously something Charlotte hasn't experienced in a long time (if ever) and I'm sure it's a nice feeling for her. Amazing chapter!
