So it appears that maybe Daniel has had his own run in with possibly a riding crop or whip? And a very embarrassing situation to find yourself in.

Side note - I would love to see Lisa and James get together.

I'm not sure how I feel about the way Daniel was asserting himself to get the apology. If he was "hurting" her outside the bedroom and not in a controlled situation it makes me wonder what's going on behind the scene with him. Had it been in the bedroom and with her acceptance of what could happen that's a little different. Just curious.
