![]() ![]() ![]() I LOVED THIS STORY! what a great read! I binged it big time, and I'm so glad I did! I always feel so torn with this level of story telling and talent - because I enjoy reading them (for free) on fictionpress, but this should really be published. It would make such an excellent novel. Great work, I cannot wait to look at your other works, if available. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I cant wait to read the sequel! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Great story! |
![]() ![]() ![]() I finished reading this a long time ago and meant to review then but just today I’ve reread certain favorite sections of mine. But all of it is amazing. This story is perfection. Before this, how someone living in the American colonies could be a loyalist was unfathomable, but Thomas Braxton certainly provided some perspective. I felt his pain; I felt FOR him. I understood Abigail’s fears and desperation and hopes and loss of hope. I became very invested in all of these characters (well, the likable ones anyway i.e. Thomas, Abigail, the kids, Elijah, Ramsey) and I cheered on the relationship between Thomas and Abigail ever since it budded. I don’t know how else to say it, but I *love* this story and keep on coming back to read it. Your historical hurt/comfort and angsty romances are the best. Thank you for putting this up for all of us to read :) |
![]() ![]() I would love to see a sequel with Elijah! |
![]() ![]() Love this. So intense poor Braxton- that time period is so violent. Must stop now to do my studies! Grr |
![]() ![]() A wonderful, wonderful story! Thank you for sharing this! |
![]() ![]() Why can't he just tell her how he feels. Love the story btw |
![]() ![]() ![]() Hello. I absolutely love this story, it's one of my favorites. I'm so glad you set Abigail and Braxton's story during this historical time period. It works so amazingly well. And I'm glad you are thinking of doing a sequel with Elijah and more of Abigail and Braxton (and the children) as well. I would love to know that they all made it through the war together as a family and without them or the children dying, but that's just me looking for the happy ending. Anyway, I see that you just posted another chapter of "A Woman's Weapon" so I'm going to go read it now so that I can stop holding my breath; at least until I finish the next chapter. Thanks again for being such a creative genius of a writer, love your work; you're the best. - Shelley |
![]() ![]() ![]() What a cute story :) |
![]() ![]() ![]() Them feels tho "he would still have the children, and he knew by this time the feels he had for the children was love". |
![]() ![]() ![]() Another homerun! And almost a half box of Kleenex for this book. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I love the idea of continuing Abbys' and Braxtons story throughout the war years. And I would be thrilled to read a story with Elijah in it as an expansion of the Braxton families history. |
![]() ![]() ![]() No I don't hate him, I feel very sad for him and for Abigails desperate situation. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I'm sorry for your writers block. I think all great writers might get that way because they care greatly about their characters and their stories are so important to them as well. I too take pride in my work and strive to do my best always, even though I am not a writer. So please know that I think your stories are great and I get a tremendous amount of enjoyment reading them and caring for the characters you create. |
