![]() ![]() See - you did do the unexpected! It was good to see Kailey joining in the fight, seeing it as her responsibility to help Duncan. And Duncan and Keegan have a very interesting relationship... |
![]() ![]() Waaaah! I was yelling, "Don't go, don't go!" But she went! And Keegan is a kelpie... I'm trying to think laterally, because I don't think you'll do the obvious (whatever that is)! |
![]() ![]() You've got me hooked! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Good to know that he didn't directly kill him. I wonder if Keegan is in anyway connected to Duncan's brother whether friend or close like that. |
![]() ![]() Disturbing chapter, on two counts - first, fae law is obviously very ancient and very unforgiving and, secondly, Keegan seems to be trying to cause trouble between Kailey and Duncan. I hope he doesn't succeed. (Is he the horse?) I'm looking forward to learning more about FEAR, though... |
![]() ![]() ![]() I can't think that Steve would have survived on his own after the scuffle he was in with Duncan. Can't really call it a fight. Keegan is a stirrer of trouble. |
![]() ![]() Thank you for posting! Wish Duncan would have been able to torture Steve more, but great job on the choreography. I'd really rather Steve was prosecuted for killing his own child. Then again, even with that, he'd be out in a few years and back after Kailey again. Keegan seems dangerous. Don't like him at all and it is obvious he's trying to manipulate Kailey. Glad she saw that. I hope he's wrong about what could happen to Duncan for hunting and killing Steve. I hope that Duncan's actions have extended Kailey's life span. That would be cool. Can't wait to see what happens when he gets back! |
![]() ![]() Fantastic chapter, full of drama and with multiple cliffhangers at the end. I'm wondering what effect Duncan's blood might have on Kailey (other than saving her, that is), and how the other people in Astoria will react to her. And I liked the cop's reaction to seeing Duncan without his glamour... |
![]() ![]() ![]() Wow, they sure aren't having much luck. I hope Duncan doesn't end up in a government institution. I'll be buzzing with curiosity and anxiety until the next chapter! :) |
![]() ![]() Oh, god, I knew something bad was going to happen! You can't start making plans for the future without tempting fate! And Duncan's particularly vulnerable to iron, isn't he? (What's a bullet made from?) I have the feeling that Kailey's going to have to step up. Unless, of course, you're playing with us and Duncan's just saved Kailey's life. Hmmm... |
![]() ![]() ![]() *pulls hair out in frustration* |
![]() ![]() ![]() Very hot. It's funny though most of the time when read about a couple in bed the guy is usually thinking about how the girl's hair |
![]() ![]() ![]() Oh, no! What a coward! Shooting at them like that! I hope they'll be all right. Hawt stuff, though I do tend to skim steamy scenes. Awesome chapter! I was thinking that maybe you should have kept some of Duncan's past a secret so it could haunt them later. Perhaps an enemy of Duncan's would tell Kailey that Duncan had killed his own brother, causing her worry. And because it was such a terrible event, she would be hard pressed to get him to talk about it. Just a thought. Maybe you have kept more secrets to be revealed later. :) Can't imagine much worse than killing family though. Thanks for posting! |
![]() ![]() So he's an elf! I like your picture of their way of life, but I also like the way Kailey stands up for humans: 'We don't have magic...' |
![]() ![]() I want a witch stone! I love the idea that looking through the hole allows an ordinary person to see the faery world - you managed to make that section feel really surreal - though I am beginning to wonder whether Kailey might have a touch of the supernatural about her, too, maybe from her grandmother, though I can't remember exactly what it was that made me think that. And I really like the way you're combining the domestic and the supernatural, switching between the two to increase and decrease tension. |
