|Reviews for Journey Through Time|
| M. Tarleton chapter 1 . 12/21/2014
Whoa! Evocative imagery, subjects, and effective transitions between your scenes. I like how you breathe life into historic eras and people, bestowing existence on them once again. My favorite scene is the declination of Egypt and the rise of Rome, "untouched by the ages and at the height of its glory." The way you close the curtain on each part is unsettling, haunting, and calls the poem "Ozymandias" by Percy B. Shelley to mind, particularly because of how Egyptian and Roman history influenced its conception; no civilization is impervious to the caprice of human beings or an inevitable destruction by time.
I enjoy how you make all of this a museum visit, too. Somehow, the end of the exhibits felt tragic to me, and I wished for more. Beautiful piece!
