This has been a very enjoyable story! The setting is an unusual choice (for this audience member, at least) but one the author is obviously very comfortable with. At first, I had wondered why you chose to set it in the late 80's, but you've been folding in more information on the culture and the era, I'm getting a better understanding of the background of your characters. It's fun to read a slash story that's based not only in another culture, but thirty years in the past. Having to keep in mind that Korea is extremely different from the west adds another level to conceptualizing the story. I know Japanese culture has been very trendy in western pop culture for a long time, and Korea is starting to catch up, but Korea is still, for all its similarities to Japan (Yes, I know - both sides would heartily disagree, maybe with weapons), it's still more mysterious. Your story is making me want to learn about Korean history (I may even go so far as too wiki it! I know, I'm very dedicated to learning, huh?). I love the characters here - how cut out they are by their stations in life, how they view their small and rigid world. I'm curious now about how Koreans viewed homosexuality in the late 80's, as you've got the characters taking the idea with a rather relaxed attitude. I'm sure that's for the flow of the story, and how you want the characters to act, but also, with your dedication to the realism of the setting, not that far off from fact. I know a little bit about Japanese history, including views on sex, but nothing about Korean, outside of analyzing that, with such a rigid societal structure, sex is sure to be included in that type of control. I do hope you're working on more chapters - I really don't like starting unfinished story, but this caught my eye and now I'm all wrapped up in this world! Thanks for taking the time and effort to put out such a well-written story!
