I'm glad Alex swallowed his pride and put his feelings for Natalie out there on the line. They have both been through a lot, so it was important he actually put himself out there and didn't back down to take the easy way. Glad he and his brother will get to talk and air some things out too.

Still a lot of unfinished business out there for everyone, but this was an important first step.

It's my first time reading stories from Fiction Press and this one got my attention.

This story reminds me of The Breakfast Club, All That, and 10 Things I hate about you, all mushed up together. And I loved those movies. Albeit some grammatical mistakes (which is nothing to get too worked up about btw), it's safe to say that really liked your story.

First, I’m impressed how you weaved the story together. It's quite refreshing to see it in a first POV told by two different perspectives. I like the idea that there are two very different (opposite maybe) roads represented by the main characters that converged together as the story progressed, which created the dichotomy between Alex and Natalie.

Second, I like how fleshed out the characters were. They weren't they typical stereotypes you see in high school stories. You can see their imperfections and how they struggle with it, to be real to themselves while trying to make ends meet -which the reader can empathize with. It is also essential to note, that the use of Shane and the others is a wonderful representation that peers are just important when it comes to building an identity and how it affects a person in general. They also push the main characters to the light. However, it would be even better if the secondary characters are fleshed out even more to balance the main charas since they tend to be quite one dimensional.

Third, the story flow is just right. The romance builds up in a gradual pace which is quite realistic. Honestly, I rather have it that way than the love at first sight type of plot line.

I would like to ramble more, but I figured that this all I have to say for now. And I'm looking forward to the future chapters. So yeah, good job!

8. Grant's a dick, I hope he has a secret crush on Nat

I only have good things to say about this story. You've created really amazing characters with wonderful backgrounds and stories, and I have adored getting to know them. I'm also happy with the way that you developed Alex and Natalie's relationship - it wasn't rushed but it wasn't too slow either, and it is realistic yet also being the type of relationship that helps you escape reality. It's such a brilliant story, and I can't wait to read more.
