Whose door did she knock on? Oh I hope it's his! Never mind if they're both puny humans, they can be HAPPY puny humans together and have lots of puny little humans together! This kind of angst I can take, no problem.
:) Okay, so this does indeed explain why Serina and her mortal were in the underworld together. Thank you for satisfying my obsession with explanations. While we're at it, why didn't you just include this as chapter 5 of Wondering white? On the other hand, everything works as well if I interpret this as one big metaphor - she's fallen because she gave in to lust and now they have to save each other.

I love the way you decided to end this. Hopefully and frightened at the same time. I only noticed one small grammatical error - technically, there should be a comma both before and after "however." "lust for one another[,] however[,]..."
I enjoyed this quite a bit and wish there was more. I can't help but hope that her mortal understands and takes her back.
