I have to say, this is very reminiscent of the ancient Greek stories. You nailed it, spot on. A sad tale of a person who lost everything, but still lives. A fate worse than death. 10/10 would read again - Herodotus
| Murron Cain chapter 1 . 2/7/2016
This was indeed a very sad story.
Yet it was a strange kind of sadness for me, as on the one hand we had the misery, the degection and the certainty that life and love meant nothing. Then, on the other hand, we had the resilient part, the part that told this girl that there must be more to life.
This was a combination that I liked, as it added a certain amount of depth to this short story. It seemed to me to be the tragic mixture of misery and hope at the same time.
I also think that everyone has felt that way at some point, not specificly because of death, but also because I think that everyone in this world has lost someone and gets stuck in the rut of not knowing what to do. This is why I feel that this story is relatable.
A very good job.
