This version of death kind of reminds me of the Twilight Zone incarnation of death. The story was built up very nicely, and I couldn't find any errors in spelling. A nice treat.

Ooh, intriguing. A very enthralling world, a really cool concept and a great pace through them both. I love Death's voice, the word choice and use of apostrophes really draws you into his viewpoint. Very good, overall.

Love it - what a fast read! Very promising world, with great potential for more in-and-out shorts. I have become a sucker for first person, but the through-line of chaos would lend itself to multiple changes of view in any future stories. The mind boggles...
Loved the little SCA shout-outs, too - freaking the mundanes, and no-shit-there-I-was. (BTW, did you know the late great Pavel Iosavitch, originator of that phrase? He was a friend, and we shared a birthday.)
Oh, quick catch - you're missing an 'a' in the first line, right before 'smokey little bar'.
