![]() ![]() ![]() I got all goosepimply! *Contented sigh* Everything's right again... Well actually I won't have minded that much if Serina never got her wings back, cause she was HAPPY being a mortal's wife and a little mortal's mother. It'd be romantic as well if she gave up her angelhood and took on mortality for the sake of love. But hey, I'm not complaining... Angel Mama in the house, y'all! Maybe you could do a sequel about the half-angel Mason and his adventures. :) |
![]() ![]() ![]() I AM happy that they were completely honest with each other at last, and that they shared their love after that. Sometimes truth hurts, or gets in the way, but not in this case. Truth set them free, true love triumphed and I don't think that's cliched or blah at all! |
![]() ![]() ![]() I was rather worried that this would turn into a drunken one night stand, but it didn't turn out that way. Whew... But anyway, I was a little sad that she had to be drunk to tell him that she loved him, cause now he might think that it was the alcohol speaking and not herself. Incidentally, I read somewhere that 'I love you' isn't a synonym for 'Have sex with me' ok, so please, girl, let's separate the heart and the loins here... Come on, just put on your big girl panties and march up to him, sober, and tell him what's in your heart. And then you can decide if you wanna go to bed together. |
![]() ![]() ![]() If this is a sequel, then I wonder why the mortal doesn't remember any of these things that happened in their shared past, or is he deliberately avoiding from thinking about them? It's ironic in a way that the angel is the one fighting lust while the mortal seems to be the paragon of virtue. I guess your concept of 'angel' isn't a particularly religious one but more like angels are a species of supernatural being, like elf and orc. What was she wearing anyway that the smith felt she needed something 'nicer'? Sackcloth? An inappropriate thong bikini? :D |
![]() ![]() ![]() It's a very interesting question - what to do when you're feeling more than friendly about somebody who's kind of off-limits, with the risk of losing what you already have if you let the feeling grow out of hand. A pretty relatable issue for all, regardless of gender. Actually I think this could be read on its own even without knowing about the prequel, since the focus is on Serina's thoughts rather than what she went through together with her mortal (whose name I still don't know, incidentally). i.e. as a sequel, it doesn't really pick up where the prequel stopped. However, the good thing about this is that readers who are curious about what happened would be then be motivated to read Wondering White to find out. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Oh I like the switch of her being the one feeling longing and love over the Knight instead! The relationship is portrayed well, with him helping her as a good friend and her trying to fight her feelings of love and lust(?). Personally, I would combine the stories into one story with chapters to separate it rather than as different stories as it would flow well as a short romance story and prevent anyone missing a chunk of the story. It is a very original romance and has an interesting plot in how things have changed now she's down to earth. Good work, keep writing. P.S. You spelt the name as "Serena" so might want to check that?
