Reviews for Poetry Collection: Dreams, Darkness, Death |

![]() ![]() ![]() Beautiful poems. I especially liked the first one about dreams. Dreams are very important to a culture and to the people living in it. The last poem was very profound, you may have a point about heaven and hell. It's just a matter of your point of view. ~Sir Scott |
![]() ![]() ![]() My favorite of the three is Asleep In Death, especially the first half. I like the juxtapositions of “sleep” and “wake,” “shroud” and “sight.” The struggle between the words accurately paints a picture of some of what the narrator is feeling, I think. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Wow, these are great! I think my favourite is the second poem. "the fallen arise and the darkness depart" is such an awesome line! |
![]() ![]() ![]() I love the allusions in all three and how you can feel a "jump into something new" as the subject changes. At the same time, it still retains its good vibe at the end. I guess you could call it... Zaney? ;) |
![]() ![]() ![]() I like this trio of poems, all focused around dreams and death and how they intertwine. You did a really great job here. I like the idea of those lost to hell finding heaven in their dreams. A special bit of mercy. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Perfection... All three poems were interesting to read because we as humans truly do crave and desire peace, and yet it eludes us. The word choice was perfect as always, and I especially liked the second one about how each person shines his own line but is unwilling to share it, not knowing how strong a little compromise can make us. "Hell is just perspective" I agree, sometimes this world is heaven and sometimes hell, but it depends on our situation and how we choose to see the world. I could go on and on about my interpretations to these poems, but I'll stop now ;) This collection was amazing and I can't wait to read more from you! :) |
