Great chapter as always. I think that the evolution of their relationship came very organic and true to the story. This is what makes a great slow burn which your story is. Because of this i am invested in the characters and in the plot and I grow excited everytime I see you've updated.

I really appreciate the slow burn with these two- it wouldn't have seemed as believable or real if Alice made a swift about face at the beginning. :) thanks for the update!

I think the growing relationship was good to do. Alice went through a tramatic (terrible) experience seeing her son killed before her. It makes sense that it took time for the relationship and trust to grow. Thank you for updating. This one was pretty fast.

I like the build up. I'm curious to see when Alice will actually feel that she loves him.

I feel like a lot of the details were needed for the characters to be fully rounded but I also had trouble not jumping the story around to find the interesting tidbits and plot development. Some parts felt slow or flat a little but over all I love the story and your writing like always so it's never a disappointed and I'm always eager and ready to drop what I'm doing to read when I get notified!

This was a good chapter. I'm glad Mansi and Ahote are back. I hope you get better soon and update again.

Interesting dynamic going on between the three. Almost seems as if Alice holds all the cards.

I hope you feel better! Wow, I didn't expect Lawrence to still be alive. This will definitely cause some problems. I wonder what Alice's reaction would be once she finds out, especially since she seems to be warming up to Megedagik. And I'm so happy that Sarah is pregnant!

Wow! A broken femur...hopefully you are on the mend. This chapter was excellent. The biggest surprise is that Lawrence is alive. I wish Alice could put her child's murderer 6 feet under. Her drinking is a big concern. I suppose she will be up against forced sobriety soon enough.
