Reviews for Од Эрзянь Одкстомтома Самс!
Timo Schmitz chapter 1 . 4/9/2017
At first, I have to admit I don't know much about Erzya, except that it's one of two languages of the Mordovians, correct me if I am wrong. Maybe you should write a little introduction on the issue of your poem. As far as I grasped, it is about the endangerment of Erzyan language. You use mythological elements and patriotic feelings to remind the Erzyans that they shall not give up their roots, do I grasp it right? It is interesting that in the first line, you make referecne to the Marxist sentence "Workers of all countries unite!", maybe a refeecne to Soviet era Mordovia? Then yyou vividly show that something must have happened to them, that they went through hardships ("along a hard way", "like a cruel storm"), but youalso give it hope ("vast horizon", "pure spring"). This is literature of great worth, so well done!
