|Reviews for The Christmas Gift|
| Lynne chapter 1 . 12/24/2019
Good story line. Believable characters. Ending is bittersweet.
| Claire D chapter 1 . 1/5/2019
An amazing short story that keeps the reader engaged and anticipating the outcome. The various depictions of how the white men viewed the Indians in general, regardless of deed, reveals a similar attitude in today's world regarding the "us versus them" mentality.
As I read the daring journey of the little girl, it was easy to root for her as she represents goodness of heart and a daring spirit. Regarding the elements of prejudice, I was initially taken back when one who judged her to be "an other", but the story isn't meant to be a fairytale, and depicted reality in which the American Indians faced, and still face. It's a must read!
