Owwe, this hurts! This us so bittersweet! I feel utterly bad for their departure full of sorrow.
The memories are the only good things left now and her afflicted hearts need some quick healing, because the affliction of departures in my perception is very very hard to compensate.

I feel the deprivation of the writer as he repeatedly says her to walk away so that he won't get addicted to her or at least don't get the pain in love that he is scared to pass through.
I liked the flow of your poem and the in depth sensitivity of the writer.

Grasping that moment in time, is not an easy thing truly. It's not unlike trying to hold sand in your hands, as it trickles out between your fingers. Far to soon we are left with but a single grain to remember what it was we once held dear to us. It's only when the one we cling so hard to, clings to us just as firmly that there's a chance I fear. But that being from my experience, maybe not of others. I find your offering again, most thought provoking, and I do empathize with the emotion in your offering.

An honestly terse verse, with I think it's repetitive emphasis placed squarely on a sense of independence, and deeper desires for maintaining the protagonist's freedom. "But even if I missed the point, I like the poem". :)

Beautiful, your offering instills the imagery in my mind's eye, of two softly entwined feminine flowers. Only able to blossom, and unfold their dew moistened petals on the banks of some secluded glen, while both being wrapped in the white glow of a bright moonlit night. As inferred, your poem is truly Beautiful.

The pain of being trapped is palpable in this offering, and these emotions are understandably emotive for anyone who has shared such an experience as portrayed. Although at the same time comforting to know that others may be able to relate... A moving poem.
