Reviews for Like a Dance
Woedin chapter 1 . 3/9/2018
"You're truly gifted that poetry flows from you effortlessly, my friend. While at the same time you can be an inspiration for a it in others as well:
For it's give, and it's take
Your poem, balances fate
With a lunge, and a dodge
You'd inspire, my homage
It's a stance, and a trance
Fights are so like a dance
But still deeper by chance
So too love, and romance
"Love your work"!
Arghyadip chapter 1 . 3/7/2018
The words "For those we love, we will fight" touched my heart. At the same time it reminds me of 'Asleep in the Valley' by Arthur Rimbaud; to think again that war always brings futility and nothing else.
Beautiful and excellent writing.
Guest chapter 1 . 11/11/2017
You're right - this is one of those poems that seems to write itself, and those are some of the most heartfelt and well written, because they tend to come from somewhere deep inside your soul, where words strike best. There's some great imagery in here, comparing war to a dance, "To our right, to our left / The weapons go above our head", and all the players must choose whether they are willing to die for this dance. It could be an allegory for internal strife, too.

Well done!
RainbowPearls chapter 1 . 11/12/2017
Honestly, this at the first moment itself reminded of beyblade cause its all about playing the sport, say, fighting with all your might and what the player gas got. It's an extremely passionate sport.
This was too cool and I've been greatly revived after reading it. Yep, in my subconscious perception, fighting is like dancing. So carefree and smooth or rough but always giving all what we've got!
Loved it! :D
