They had a good friendship that turned toxic, which eventually led to a broken (or bent according to you) friendship that they try to rebuild.
No matter how much he hurt her, she was there when he needed her the most and he let go of any other thought to seek her help, because he trusted her the most. This friendship...it's realistic and a true one.
It doesn't matter how much your friend hurts you, if your friendship is true, you will let go of that.

Hopefully this is not too close to what has happened with you recently. However, even with difficulties and pain around at the time, you've crafted a wonderfully poignant sort of piece. I feel both a bit sad and a bit happy from reading this.

Wow, what a beautiful piece. I loved the deep, embedded emotion and the love buried beneath. Both characters were very engaging, and their emotions well felt. It touched my heart.
