Wow, I didn’t expect that ending, or maybe I did, because of the summary (so you did do a pretty good job with the summary!). I love how this poem was a monologue of sorts in terms of how each stanza was constructed; it made me hear in my head the voice of someone speaking this poem to me, as if he/she were being accused of something. I also thought the line, “It’s easy to make fun of things that are sincere, but harder to make fun of things which are not” was a really powerful line; the way it was worded and its placement in the poem are spot on.
Keep writing, you never know what other imaginative thing you could bring to life with your words (:
