I get the tension from Connor's end, but I'm still quite curious about Rachel. The writing style is quite fluid and fun, whimsical. We know little about Rachel except that she's always waiting for him. Looking forward to seeing more of her.

There's a carefulness to the writing that makes the storytelling quite lovely. I'm not a football fan but am enjoying the terminology weaved in - Connor has a strong voice and is a compelling narrator. Rachel is a bit of a mystery, I did not understand why Connor asking her the date of the Sadie Hawkins dance is a slip-up, some explanation needed there. Not quite sure where this story is going, the "one night on the lake" seems to hint at teen pregnancy, but would definitely like to see how this story unfolds.
