Reviews for Teacher Wars
echogirlcapri chapter 1 . 10/4/2018
This is an interesting perspective! I usually find that stories focus on school life from the student's point of view, so it's interesting to see it from the other side. All of my friends who are teachers say it's extremely difficult, so this is very realistic! Especially the part where they won't stop talking, haha.

A good beginning!

From the WA short review game:
To start off I like the fact you get right into the plot with the opening to get the reader interested so kudos on that.
But the plot does comes off a bit thin. You need to elaborate on points you’re trying to make. For instance in the beginning the principle reams Heather out for not bringing up test scores. This is a point that needs to be elaborated on. Why is it just Heather being held to account and not the other teachers? Is this a struggling school, did Heather specifically say she could singlehandedly bring up the schools test scores; that sort of thing
You do an excellent job of getting your reader to empathize with Heather in her struggles. Anybody who is new to a job to understand her plight. I’m a first responder and can definitely remember times when I first started how I was questioning my abilities and whether I was cut out for my chosen profession.
Your pacing is also excellent as you keep going from point to point. It keeps the story going at pretty good clip making it a breeze to read but be weary with moving too fast as you run the risk of losing some dramatic effect you might be trying. Just a word caution from someone who made that mistake early on.
So overall a strong effort and by all means keep it up and good luck with future chapters.

She Who Loves Pineapples II chapter 1 . 7/23/2018
Ouch, why is this so relatable in such a harsh way? I didn’t want to review this for the RG since you seem to want to revise it first, but I wanted to read it, and so far, I really, really like it. I love Heather’s character. She actually really struggles and not in a “everyone hates me for no reason, poor me” kind of way but a “everyone hates me and I deserve it because I suck” kind of way and that’s so refreshing to see. I hope you continue this.
