Reviews for The Homecoming |

![]() ![]() ![]() I feel incredibly fortunate to have read this extraordinary short story penned by my dearest talented friend, Aze. It's rare to come across a piece of literature that touches your soul so profoundly—a very innocent and pure story. From the first to the last chapter, I was captivated by the author's ability to weave words into a tapestry of emotions. The story's simplicity and honesty touched my soul, leaving a lasting impact. The author's ability to convey such depth of emotion through their words is truly remarkable. This is a story that will stay with me for a long time. Well done! |
![]() ![]() I love how you associated happiness with the fairy tale stories that Mace has read before. And, it's an even nicer thought that this was her way of coping up with life. She's definitely the character everyone should look up to. I'm in awe at her positive disposition, despite that painful death. Your characters have so much life in them that it's hard not to get carried away by this story. I'm feeling comfortable with the characters even if I'm still down to 6 more chapters. Good job, Hazeleyes! |
![]() ![]() Death seems to be scary when you think about it. Would you feel the impact? Would you feel the pain? But I suppose, in this story, it's a good idea that you thought of giving it a twist. An entirely new perspective of looking at death as a peaceful affair. "She smiled a little, recalling the blue sky and the chirping birds just before she closed her eyes for the last time" For someone who did such a courageous sacrifice, she deserves to face death harmoniously. This chapter did justice in giving death an entirely new perspective. |
![]() ![]() My goodness! The feels! I definitely did not see that coming. "She gave him a tear-streaked, brave smile before the speeding car hit her" This is emotionally heart-wrenching. Never expected the female character to have this instant drive to get hit instead. My, what a sacrifice. It's a short chapter but none the less, it delivered just the right amount of thrill. Excited to see what will happen next. |
![]() ![]() Awesome way to start the story. Short but interestingly captivating. Excited to see what will happen next :) |
![]() ![]() ![]() This was a beautiful ending! It's so sweet that the love they didn't get to continue on earth, they still had for each other in heaven (and even when they were apart). You did great in expressing the feelings here! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Oh, now I see who he was. I should've suspected so. They had a terrible separation, but I'm glad that now death cannot separate them. You did pretty well at writing the scenes, although I was confused at first when there was an unitalicized sentence, but after reading it I understood. |
![]() ![]() Such heartwarming story. Full of emotions.i cried with the event of declaring their love even after death. So painful not to have this two individual souls really come to reality in their lifetime here on what touches me more with the story was Luke , always loving her girl, protecting her and be with her till she met her end..what a love story. To the author, write more ..u have great you for sharing! |
![]() ![]() ![]() I couldn't help but smile at this scene here. I may not know who Luke was to her, but I can tell he was very important to her (and vice versa) and reading their coming together was very emotional. You did great at writing the feeling here. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I wonder who this Luke is. This should be interesting. It was beautiful hearing about all the times he'd been there for her. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Oh. I wonder what this hint at actually meant. I guess I'll have to see... |
![]() ![]() ![]() Oh, this was sweet! I don't really have any comments on improving this time, but this was a good chapter. |
![]() ![]() ![]() This was a nice chapter. I liked the mention of the fairytales that she read, and how it tied in then. And wow, who knew that Isra was her guardian angel? |
![]() ![]() ![]() Interesting chapter! |
![]() ![]() ![]() I must say, this part reminds me of Death Parade a little bit (or another anime scene maybe). I'm not sure if that was intended or not. I like the cliffhanger here. |
