| Please Not The Face chapter 1 . 3/5/2019
The story was rather well written and immersive. Ted, his Mother's characterization as well as the visual elements, though gruesome and disturbing, was well balanced enough that he didn't sound generic or exaggerated.
I must admit that I didn't quite understand a couple elements in the story, the first being the need for the parentheses. It only popped up twice and didn't seem to fit with the rest of the format, though could have been included in the story seamlessly. I wouldn't have found it out of place if Ted was merely recalling the radio station of if Mother was questioning whether the victim had seen the faces. Secondly, I wasn't quite sure what to make of the last line. Although I appreciate that the ending is unambiguous, I feel like the ending could be better if the last line was substituted for something else to represent Ted's failure in his goal.
