And here, a sensitive ask, is it going to have explicit sex between the principals MC/MC?
Because in Black Marion we never reached that far. they never did the uh dirty. just curious though?

Wenzhan was right to request that Anjie make him a crane. This would be the mature and noble way forward. Wenzhan should strive to prove himself and Anjie should let him. It is his historical birth right; it is needed as they face potential invasion!

This story has gotten so powerful that I am really feeling this.

I find it interesting that Anjie is so protective, and then that Wenzhan is incestuously interested in his brother! They are both focused on each other — on what’s inside the family house — rather than on making their noble family an entity that DOES something. Traditionally nobility are in service — to tradition, to god, to upholding order. That would seem to be the House of Guilin’s role, too.

It’s interesting that on top of this is layered Suzha’s words: “Kill me. It's the only thing you've ever done to outsiders.” Guilin is all too internal, too inner focused — the royal family is only good for “killing” outsiders.

I may be reading way to much into this, but I love it! I love Anjie. I think it’s all so realistic. Dynasties in Egypt did become incestuous, unable to trust or even want outsiders — just as one example. And they did fall.

I can’t wait to see if Anjie can overcame the internal and external parts of this to triumph.

PS Of course if Musheng is the first outsider Anjie ever trusted . . . that’s going to make things harder . . .

My favourite paragraph:
“Musheng cocked his head, his lips curving slightly once more. "You did promise me you would bring him to my feet and let me do whatever I wanted, Your Grace. Is it a problem now?"”

I love how the Musheng/ Anjie plot line is heating up. I wonder what this queen’s relationship with Musheng is.

The eye scene was very powerful but the queen is right, Anjie is showing fear, even desperation. And he has given his enemies’ scientists his own technology to reverse engineer! It was a brilliant act — dramatic — but perhaps foolhardy.

I think Anjie must stop being so protective of his family. I think he will need more cranes.

Poor Wenzhan (sorry if I'm spelling names wrong •) I really feel for him. I have to question why Anji had that reaction to him at the end of the chapter?

Okay things are getting real XD I was waiting for more chapters to be out before reading them and man all at once feels pretty dynamic! I was wondering at first if Anjie was like Wolverine or a host from Westworld XDD anyways, loved the tension during the dinner! Apparently I like when people threaten each other lol as for the bro kissing bro part, I hope it's a one sided incest cuz not my kind of thing XD

Finally we get to meet this mysterious person! Will there be trouble? Whose side will he take? Hmmmm.

I loathe Quan Caihe and Jun Musheng (I refuse to call him by his new name), which I know means you've done a wonderful job as a writer, but I dislike them so much knowing the pain that's probably in store for Anjie that I almost can't bear to know what comes next :(
