It's so true, and can be just as you reveal in your astute lines here. That renewed and furtive pains can often be resurrected in us from mere happenstance. Maybe from visiting a familiar place once frequented, an anniversary of some kind passing. When hearing an old song anew, or sometimes when coming across photographs from our past. Many such thing can trigger those bygone feelings, making them live in us once more. But also through grace, so to can we draw forth from that very same well, much happier recollections. I Hope soon any warming cinders may cool, those hurtful echoes may fade away, and that your knowing smile returns, triumphant. ~A very moving poem friend~
