Almost every second sentence deserves its own review. You browbeat your readers with condescension and end your whimsical essay with a cliche quotation as evidence of your intelligence and ability to 'discriminate good information from bad information'. You discuss none of the issues you list for discussion- providing only dictionary definition of words that everyone knows and understands even if they can't 'adequately explain to etymologists.' What poses as insightful infusion of knowledge to readers is instead a pretentious attempt to demonstrate the writer's 'intelligence'.
