gorgeous poem, wonderful message. So many people think that there is a set period of mourning, that we should get over it and get on, yet part of that getting on with life is accepting that any loss will always have a bearing on you, no matter how long ago it may have been. Everyone we meet impacts on our lives, those we love even more so. Love the poem, I'm sure your uncle would too.
