|Reviews for Arachne's Tale|
| pheonix's flame chapter 1 . 4/11/2005
this is amazing! i have loved greek myhthology stories since forever, and i've heard this one really often. but never form this point of view. GREAT JOB! i love this piece.
| Ai Yuukan chapter 1 . 11/8/2004
that was extremely good! i never thought about that story from arachne's point of view. now i'm thinking about questioning athena's own arrogance and wisdom. this story is quite powerful in its own little way, because athena was my favorite goddess. i am an artist myself and i am a little bit peeved that athena destroyed what must have been a lovely piece of art. the shame!
| KalliopesMuse chapter 1 . 1/22/2004

| Werecat99 chapter 1 . 4/21/2003
Being Greek, I couldn't resist reading this.
Loved the first paragraphs. Very descriptive about the old woman. Somehow I remembered my cat returning from a stroll in the rain. :)
It was so typical of the ancient deities to pose as mortals and insignificant ones, like this woman you have so well described. It was masterfully done.
*she was only an iota faster than I*
Best line I've read in ages. Probably all year. And the last think I would expect to see from someone whose native language isn't Greek.
Loved all the images of the Gods, but my favourite of all was the one with Hades. And again, I have a taste for dark things...
Interesting choice of weapon for Athena, the staff. Although I see it fitting for her image of the old woman, I've always pictured her wielding a sword. But the image isn't unpleasant. Just different.
And I really loved the last line. Good to know her spirit wasn't broken.
I can feel for your review addiction. I hang around my enhanced reviews page a lot too...
| Moonwinges chapter 1 . 1/15/2003
Ehh . . . I can tell you wrote it for school. There wasn't enough background, and it didn't look like you proofread it. You didn't give many reasons for Athena turning her into a bug either. It could have been worked out much better, but it's pretty old and it was for school, so I forgive you. _
By the way, I updated Weaver. :)
| Mage O'Dell chapter 1 . 12/22/2002
I love Greek mythology, but I've never heard Arachne's tale told in this way before. I think you've caught Arachne's arrogance really well, it works.
| Rosa-ish chapter 1 . 11/30/2002
I really like Greek Mythology and this story is really cool and special.. Haven't thought of the myth in that kind of way..! :) Like it :) Oh, by the way, the bunny in 'Operation Fluffy Bunny' wasn't a real bunny falling from Harry's lap.. So don't charge me with writing about animal-abuse.. ;) I just luvv bunny's..! :) If you liked that story: I've got more fluffyness on right now..!
Luv & Kisses..
| Carter Tachikawa chapter 1 . 11/1/2002
Neat! I've heard the tale so many times but never from Arachne's POV. A few grammar mistakes but nothing to turn me off. Keep on writing.~CT
| Toireasa chapter 1 . 10/30/2002
I like it. I saw quite a few mistakes, but overall, this was fantastic. Nice work.

| KaraLea Ethereal chapter 1 . 1/6/2002
Usually I send these through emails, but as your email was not listed, here goes: I am the editor-in-chief of a fantasy and sci-fi magazine called Gryphon- you may not have heard of it, it's very new and as of now I run it virtually alone. I'd like to publish this myth in it, if you would give your permission? You won't get paid, but you will get a free lifetime subscription to Gryphon. Please reply promptly.
