![]() ![]() ![]() as untraditional this is i think it's a good idea |
![]() ![]() ![]() It's so honest of you to put your BoS online! This is really good. The end chappie is great. Blessed be. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Please, continue! You obviously havent updated this since '02, but please, update it very very soon! -KeaRz |
![]() ![]() You know how Goddess and God appear as three different forms? I believe they appear in six. They appear as each element to me, Spirit, Fire, Earth, Water and Air. I see Goddess as a young woman of about 27 or 28 and God as a man of about 29. I also believe that Jesus and all the other Gods and Goddesses that belong to different religions are their children. When I think about that the God and Goddess are in their eighties but still look young, because their forms are ageless. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I am glad you put such a personal book online for others to use. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Cool. Definatly cool. I belive a lot of that..in my own way. We all have to learn about everything that we can. That's the only way to be worth anything. Thanks for putting this up and good job. |
![]() ![]() ![]() YES! *Punches fist in the air* Thank you SO, SO, SO much for that last chapter. I really cannot deal with it when people say that there is only one right religion, so this was very refreshing to read. I totally, completely agree with what you said about every religion having truth. THANK YOU! |
![]() ![]() ![]() You speak, or write, whichever you choose, powerful words for "just a sixteen year old". Heh, I do believe my grandparents would be blown away, or else they'd get all sour and say that you're too young to understand anything. Anyways, you've done a wonderful thing by writing this, if not for speaking your own beliefs, then for the passion that you put into them. Hmmmm hmmmm, very clever. One of my favorite quotes, which I think encompasses The One, is what Merlin said in the Mists of Avalon. It's simple, yet powerful. "All Gods are One God." So yet agsain, your ideas are brilliant and clever. Very nice. -Toireasa |
![]() ![]() ![]() Very nice. I concur to the three aspects of each of the elements, though not to their appearance. As well, I believe that the entity encircling the fdive Elements is the Lord and Lady... for they create, destroy, and take on aspects of all of the elements. Anywho, very clever... unique ideas and interesting view points. -Toireasa |
![]() ![]() ![]() This, I feel, is ingenious. The transitions you made between each, and the time you set them, is very unique and clever. Kudos to you! I have never had the opportunity to witness someone who actually gave The God a definition, or at least one that I feel is appropriate to him. If you don't mind my asking, how long have you been studying? And, can I use some of this to show to a friend who just got involved with Wicca and my Coven? I think that he needs to see this, he's not being incredibly intelligent about the whole thing. Anyways, beautiful job! -Toireasa |
![]() ![]() ![]() Interesting view on each of the Goddesses aspects, and well put with the way they correspond to nature. However, to me, there is a lack of connection between the three. Hmmmm hmmm, you might just see me as one of those annoying wiccans, but I am an Eclectic Witch... so... yeah. Anyways, this really is well put and I like it. an extrordinary job. Nice work -Toireasa |
![]() ![]() ![]() Wow, Dwaraea, I really appreciate what you're doing. This chapter of your Book of Shadows is exceptionally helpful. I've never realized before how you put it (or Silver Raven Wolf) about the diamond. I always thought that I couldn't call myself Wiccan if I thought other religions were 'right'. You have further encouraged me to live my dream, if my dream of a rock-star falls thru ; ), to study all religions and teach open-mindedness around the world! thanks! |
![]() ![]() Hey. I'm glad you are all looking me up, DC. Yeah, Crawling was good. :) My mother goes to an Assembly of God church. If you don't know any AoG, those are the insane bible-thumpers who pray in tongues and do the tap-on-the-forehead to knock people over for healing. I consider myself lucky that they haven't taken out snakes yet! (It's in the same verse as praying in tongues.) I'm glad you guys like the way I write. More Wicca-stories, poems, etc. will come soon, something I haven't been doing lately. :) In the meantime, check out my other stories. Not all are religious. (Elsbeth, for example, is completely 100% religion free.) Until then, have fun and Blessed Be! :) |
![]() ![]() ![]() Oh yeah...thanks for the review of Crawling and for your support. |
![]() ![]() ![]() It stinks that Calling All Christians was deleted. I had just entered a good review about my thoughts on Revelations and common theories about what "The Funny Red Dude", Jesus, and everybody else who has been depicted in works of art really looked like. I also shared my thoughts on the symbolism employed in that book of the Bible, and I didn't have the foresight to copy it anywhere on my comp in case it didn't go through. Oh well. Anyway, I really don't need to be preaching to you about my faith for two reasons: because I myself don't know as much about it as I should, and because I am going against it by having an NC-17 story on the site. Therefore...don't take this like I'm preaching to you...I am simply sharing my opinions. Anyway, I tend to not pay any attention to the theories of what Satan, Jesus, The Apostles, Angels, Demons, or God look like (or in the case of The Apostles and Jesus while he was on Earth, looked) because quite frankly, nobody can really know. And the early Christians you were talking about who came up with the common belief of what Satan looks like were most likely the early denominations, and I go to a non-denominational church. To be honest...I don't see how that view of Satan ever scared anybody except little children. It's kinda hard to be afraid of a being of supreme evil that runs around with a pitchfork. My church is doing a study of Revelations on Wednesday nights, but I can't recall what part we were talking about last time right off the top of my head. Anyway, there is a dispute over when it was written. There are two commonly held dates, but either way it was written during a time when the Romans controlled most of the known world, and people were literally risking their lives by being Christians. I don't believe that Revelations is really talking about the end of time, but rather that it was a message of hope to early Christians to let them know that God hadn't forgotten about them and that if they were faithful when they died at the hands of the Romans (or by any means for that matter other than suicide) that he would take care of them. The most likely reason why it employed so much symbolism is so if any Romans got a hold of it they wouldn't know what it really was. Christians of that time would have been familiar with the symbolism and would have known what it was telling them. Just thought I'd share. I read this story too...and I am interested in learning more...but only for academic purposes. By the way...I think you should specify just what denomination your mother follows. That would clear up a lot of things for me. Thanks For The Opportunity To Brainstorm, Dark Chaos |
