WOW Ouch This one stings! I think this can def apply to most people and their friends at one time or another. I hope everythings worked out for you and your friends since posting this. Oh, i really liked your second to last stanza, especially the part about walking on with a stiff upper lip. It was one of those phrases that made me smile, but it's a painful phrase too. Oh, i especially liked the last two lines! It's common to compare the heart to a bird taking flight, but i don't think i've heard the soul used before, and i really like the imagry you created. Your quite descriptive at some points and then really vague at others, and that makes it really interesting to read. Hats off to you on a fabulous poem!
