i haven't read this story yet, but i am reviewing because of the summary. it has got to be one of the best i have ever read on FP lol. I will look forward to reading the story

Wow, I kind of can't believe that it took him a crappy boyfriend that you can't even call a boyfriend to realize how much he cared about Rain. And I can't believe Rain for how he treated him. I mean I understand that he didn't want to have problems at work but he could have made it easier for Keiji to understand instead of blowing him off or lying about things to his co-workers. / always bad ideas!

I had to re-read this story because I couldn't remember what happened [see, that's what happens when you leave a story alone too long! xD], but I was reminded what a great story this is so it was all good. :] Shame it's over!

Thank you SO much for updating this story! :) This has always been one of my favorites, and it will continue to be. I really like the ending. It's not THE typical happy ending, and that's what makes it even better. As always, Rian is hot.

A really good ending, even if it was short. But that's okay, because sometimes you don't need a lot of words to say the best things. I think Keiji is one of those oddly honest people, because at the end he just openly admits that he isn't looking for love which a lot of people are these days, they just can't admit it. (Some just look for it in the wrong places.) I don't think he really knows what he wants and personally, I think that makes him more realistic because few people do.

On a sillier note: I totally know what you mean by changes in writing styles. XD I can't tell you how different mine is now from when I started here. Phew. Sometimes change is a good thing. o.O

This is so, so worthy of continuation that I cannot believe no one has yet pestered you into uploading a new chapter.

A light-hearted, funny read, entertaining and relaxing after a hard day. But there is substance for those who look for it. The question of Rian's love lingers from the first chapter (which was a fantastic hook), and the pull from Rian to Cole and back again and Keiji's own emotional rollercoaster is really incredibly written.

I've spent quite a bit of time with Fictionpress young adult romances, both slash and het, and one of the first questions I wonder as I get into a story is why these two characters are going for each other? What's the draw? Can it last? Is it realistic or even possible? Mostly, I ignore the glaring fact that the two stars don't really have anything going for them besides mere circumstances born of a writer's whims. What jumped out at me while reading this, from about chapter four or five, is that Keiji and Rian are incredibly, incredibly compatible characters romantically.

Realistically, this doesn't mean they would necessarily make an ideal couple or that they would end up together. Chance plays a big role in any relationship, and anything could go wrong, at any moment one of them or both could change. But generally, following their interactions and their attitude around each other, it's safe to say that their personalities (their values and hobbies and lifestyles) really click in a way that happens all too rarely. Reading each scene with the two of them seems so -right-. They would make quite a happy ending.

This isn't a literary masterpiece, and there's quite a lot that could be improved, but this is a great story nonetheless, and I really would love to see it continued, even four years later. Any chance of coming back to it?
