Reviews for Corbiere Appollinaire Rimbaud
Faithless Juliet chapter 1 . 10/17/2005
I love this; all of the french poets died young, this is amazing. I hope that your are still writing poetry; you really have a true talent and gift even if your not posting your work here anymore.

Juliet.
E. Gao chapter 1 . 2/28/2003
"all the

French poets died young-"

yes but you haven't and

you are still here with

us writing your splendid

poetry, so it cannot be

the wine nor the cheap

cigarettes nor the rain

and tombs in Baudelaire.

"not I! not I!" Of course

not you, oh not you, if

only because the world

has not yet seen what

gems you have written.

Kirney Slate chapter 1 . 9/8/2002
"...conquistador of paper and pen-'oh not I'"

Well... I'll say, you've outdone yourself. It's a clever poem. It feels like you have a relationship with french poets, either you love them so much that you mock them. Or you mock them so much that you love them.

"'for it is,', the doctor taking a sudden drag on his noxious cigar, dreaming of tangerines and the taste of them 'not the brandy...'"

clever ending.

I really like this one. It is amazing how much of an impact poetry can have on both the writer and the reader. It is such a powerful mode of expression.
