I don't even know what to say, this is such an amazing story. I love it to peices (probably why I'm up at six in the morning reading it). One question though, is the title from the Gary Jules' song 'Mad World' ('The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had')?

this is one of te greatest stories ever. so sad and all with lucas and his illness. i'm actually studying it right now. great job on the whole thing i loved it.

Hi you won't believe this but my ame is Katie Vickers too. All i did was type our name in a search engine and boom i saw there was a girl with my name who was an author. I havent read alot of the story yet but i really do like what i have read.

Excellent story, it just.. captivated me from the beginning. Probably why it's 12 AM and I'm still up.

Unique plot, incredibly realistic characterization. You really made all of them have their own flaws but sympathetic. Especially Lucas.

The ending's rather ambiguous and I'm still not quite sure that I understand it.. but then again, that's the fun isn't it?

I wanted to review the first chapter as well, however, there was an error in loading and I was able to read the end of the chapter- I'm not sure if this is serverwide or it's just my computer's passive-aggressive way of telling me I've been neglecting it, but i'd like to read the the end of the chapter if possible, either by reuploading on your end or email or whatnot. Anyway. . .

I'm really enjoying this story, for many reasons. I myself am in the process of publishing a novel with a similar character-premise (though extremely different) and I always love to see how different authors interpret 'genius' and the psychological affiliations that come part and parcel with the state of elevated intellect. Lucas is a great character already- I find myself quite able to relate to him, which, I suppose, means that you've managed to incorporate said elements into the characterization.

The family reality-versus-facade idea is great too- breaking down sterotypes. It's nice to see that the supporting characters are quirky and fleshed out. There is obviously a great deal of foreshadowing and perhaps redherrings already embedded in this story, and I look forward to reading the rest. However, I need to get to work. Thank you

You've got a great story here, so far. Excellent style and the plot development is interesting. I really like the title too; was this inspired by Donnie Darko at all? I can see similarities between Donnie and Lucas, barring the fact that Lucas doesn't seem time-traveling demon rabbits named Frank.

Anyway, I like the character of Penny a lot. I wish you would develop Embry a little bit more.. maybe get him to talk about why he did what he did. It seems almost too neat that he comes back just when Lucas is started to hallucinate and the fact that he's completely cured. I'm interested in seeing what you're going to do with the rest of the story. Please update soon.
