Lost in the stars and the galaxies bright,

I forget that my life is an endless night

I forget that my soul is a starless void,

That the people I need are those whom I avoid.

As I look at the stars and the galaxies glow,

They bring me some comfort when I feel I don't know

Where my life's headed, where I'll be at the end

When I run out of time to repent and to mend.

I watch as the stars and the galaxies sleep

Hoping I find the peace so deep

That is found when alone in untouched space

Where I can sleep easy-alone-in my place.
