*A/N: I once again give greetings to my fans (or peopel that tolerate me
for a generous amount of time). You can yell about how I'm late all you
want, but I won't hear you. You know, the internet... you've got to love
it! I suppose you want an excuse, right? I think I'll rely on the excuse
that I've nothing to write about! I've hit all the good and reasonable
types of Wiccans that I may be able to help. Is that possible? I doubt it.
As I write, I really don't know what this week's update is about. I need
your help, friends! I'll think of something for this week, but unless you
like waiting for updates, help!
I'd like to thank Katherine Silver personally for her review. I'd also liek to apologize if I spelled your name wrong. I'm not on the internet because I'm waiting for an ever-so-important phone call right now, so forgive me if I'm off, K.S. Anyway, she gave me a nice kick in the ego with ehr review after I recieved two very bad ones (one was deleted). The one about paragraphs was from an ex-girlfriend (by the way, you CAN see my paragraphs, right?) and there was a downright insulting one from an annoying bible thumper. Anyway, thanks a million, K.S., I really needed a good review to boost my urge to write.
Now on with my... whatever this will be ^_^ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
For the Insecure Wiccans (Originally Part Rant) --P.S. I told you I'd come up with something.--
1. Really Truly?
It is very impolite to bring into question someone's "Wiccan-ness". By this, I mean saying someone isn't a "real" or "true" Wiccan of Witch just because they don't do things exactly as you were taught. As long as someone stays true to the laws and beliefs of Wicca, they may refer to themselves as Wiccans. Period. (Actually, I'm sure you can find a loophole, but you know what I'm trying to say!)
2. What doubt brings about.
Doubting yourself is the worst mistake you can make. If you don't believe you can be a Wiccan, you're already fighting an uphill battle. Truth be told, I heard of Wicca by someone telling me I could never be one. Not a bright idea because I don't let ANYONE tell me what my limits are. I found a reliable website that told all of what Wiccans are and I knew it was for me, not because of the girl saying I couldn't be a Wiccan, but because it spoke to my soul. Had I believed the girl and let the subject drop, I would probably have a bad view of Wiccans due to the sharp tounge of the first Wiccan I ever knew. (Did I go off topic?)
3. All-purpose skeptics.
Many people that are Wiccans often have skeptical thoughts about their own religion from time to time. Believe it or not, that's good! Believing in something blindly without thinking about it logically isn't faith, it's, and I know this isn't the best term, a cult. Just know that there is a time to question your faith and a time not to. A good example of a time not to is while in circle. It's just a bad idea!
4. Liar! Liar... Do you smell burning pants?
Many times within a new religion, there can be contradictions between one group and another. Sometimes there is no beaten path for you to follow and you have to guess who you believe it right and that can be a scary decision for a member of any religion. You're pulled in one direction, then the other, but the best idea is to sit, relax, think, and feel your way through these things. The only right way is the way you feel confortable with!
5. I need a little sacred space, here!
Often, those around us can try to constantly question our faith. It's outraging to find that some people think of religion as more of a dodgeball game than a sacred, personal decision. There's always at least one person on each side trying to hit a person out so they'll join their side. If you find yourself in the middle of this "game", you need to get yourself some alone time and (I'm beginning to repeat myself) think things through in detail. Listen to your heart and soul. They know what you need. (Also, whatever choices you make, have a happy life and enjoy yourself.)
6. I think NOT!
Tired of just sitting around and thinking? If you haven't come to any true conclusions by now, you may want to explore some activities instead of sitting around. Take a walk. hang out with those friends who won't pressure you about anything like religion. Many times things just hit you while you're doing everyday things. Which philosopher was it that has his breakthrough while taking a bath? (Eureka! It was Archimedes ^_^)
7. Blah Blah Blah!
By now, you should have figured out my main point in this. Don't let others discourage your beliefs or alter your heart's desires. You are the only one who can make these decisions and the longer you wait to confront it, the harder it will be to look your problems in the eye. If you can't decide between your faith and not having any faith, try both for a period of time and see if you can or can't live without your deity or deities. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
*A/N: Well, that a pretty good chapter in my opinion. It's late and I'm not sure if any of my jokes were funny, but I updated! I'm trying hard to think of new things, so don't be afraid to throw an idea into the ring. Also be sure to review. I love a nice ego boost! I'd be nothing without your help, so thank you for making me feel special enough to help you with any of the problems I help to try to find "cures" for. (Okay, I'm pretty sure that didn't make any sense!) I'm off now to find caffine so I can continue waiting for my precious phone call! Blessed be ^_^
