Hold me close

Watch me fall

The black waters rise

To drown them all

The phoenix song

Rise soft and shrill

My world goes silent

Time stands still

The moon begins

It's slow incline

Dancing about a sun

That once was mine

Sing to my lost

Weep not for my lame

Touch once and sigh

We once were the same

Laugh as we stand

In the cold winter breeze

The tears run softly

And sting as they freeze
